Ogoow respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, protect, retain, and delete information when you use our mobile application, website, and related services.
By creating an account, accessing, posting, commenting, chatting, uploading content, or using Ogoow, you agree to this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use.
2. Data We Collect and How We Use It
2.1 Account Information
We may collect your name, username, email address, phone number, profile photo, password or authentication credentials, country, language, and account settings.
2.2 User Content
We collect content you create or share, including posts, news updates, comments, reactions, images, videos, audio, profile information, group content, reports, and chat messages.
2.3 Chat and Communication Data
If Ogoow allows direct messaging or group chat, we process messages, sender and receiver details, timestamps, attachments, delivery status, and safety reports to provide communication services and protect users.
2.4 Device and Usage Data
We may collect device type, operating system, app version, IP address, approximate location, crash logs, diagnostics, pages viewed, features used, and interaction events to secure, improve, and maintain the service.
2.5 Location Data
We may collect approximate location based on IP address. If the app requests precise location, we will ask for permission and use it only for features clearly described in the app.
2.6 Contacts, Camera, Microphone, Photos, and Storage
If the app requests access to contacts, camera, microphone, photos, or storage, access will be used only for the feature requested by the user, such as uploading media, recording content, or finding contacts, where applicable.
2.7 Purposes of Processing
- Create and manage user accounts.
- Enable posts, news updates, comments, reactions, chats, and community interaction.
- Personalize content and improve user experience.
- Send service notifications, security alerts, and support messages.
- Detect, prevent, and respond to spam, fraud, abuse, illegal content, impersonation, child exploitation, and platform misuse.
- Comply with legal obligations and app store requirements.
- Analyze performance, fix bugs, and improve app reliability.
3. Data Sharing, Security, Retention, and International Transfers
3.1 Data Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We may share information only in the following cases:
- With service providers who help us host, secure, analyze, moderate, or operate the app.
- With law enforcement, regulators, child protection organizations, or courts where legally required or necessary for safety.
- With other users when you post publicly, comment, react, message, or share profile information.
- During a business transfer such as merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets, subject to privacy protections.
3.2 Security

4. User Rights, Account Deletion, and Data Deletion
Depending on your country or region, you may have rights to access, correct, export, restrict, object to, or delete your personal data.
4.1 Account Deletion
Users may request account deletion from within the app where available, or by emailing privacy@ogoowapp.com with the subject line: Ogoow Account Deletion Request.
4.2 Data Deletion
After verifying ownership of the account, we will delete or anonymize personal data unless retention is required for legal, security, fraud prevention, child safety, financial, or dispute resolution reasons.
4.3 Public Content
Content you shared publicly may remain visible if it was copied, quoted, shared by other users, included in lawful records, or retained for safety/legal reasons. We will take reasonable steps to remove or anonymize content controlled by us.
5. Terms of Use
These Terms of Use govern your access to Ogoow. By using the app, you confirm that you can legally enter into these Terms and that you will comply with all applicable laws.
5.1 Account Responsibility
- You must provide accurate account information.
- You are responsible for protecting your login details.
- You must not impersonate another person, organization, public official, media house, or brand.
- You must not create accounts for spam, fraud, harassment, illegal activity, or platform manipulation.
5.2 Acceptable Use
You may use Ogoow to share lawful news, updates, opinions, media, comments, and messages while respecting the rights and safety of others.
5.3 Prohibited Use
- Illegal content or activity.
- Child sexual abuse material, child exploitation, grooming, sextortion, or predatory behavior.
- Threats, hate speech, harassment, bullying, or targeted abuse.
- Fraud, scams, phishing, malware, or attempts to steal accounts or data.
- False information presented as verified fact where it may cause harm.
- Violent extremism, terrorism support, or incitement to violence.
- Non-consensual sexual content or intimate images.
- Copyright, trademark, privacy, or publicity rights violations.
- Spam, fake engagement, bot activity, scraping, or automated misuse.
5.4 License to User Content
You keep ownership of content you create. By posting content, you grant Ogoow a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, distribute, adapt, and make your content available as needed to operate and promote the service.
5.5 Suspension and Termination
We may restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, create legal risk, harm other users, or threaten platform security.
6. User Generated Content Policy
Ogoow allows users to create, upload, publish, comment, react, message, and share user-generated content. To keep the platform safe, users must follow these rules.
6.1 Before Posting
- Only post content you have the right to share.
- Do not post private information about other people without consent.
- Do not post harmful, misleading, abusive, or illegal content.
- Do not post content that exploits, sexualizes, harms, or endangers minors.
6.2 Reporting and Blocking
Users must be able to report objectionable content or abusive users from within the app. Users should also be able to block other users where social interaction, comments, or chat features are available.
6.3 Moderation
We may review content using human review, automated systems, user reports, trusted flaggers, keyword filters, safety signals, or other moderation methods. We may remove, limit, label, or restrict content that violates our rules.
7. Community Guidelines
Ogoow is built for safe news sharing, updates, discussion, and respectful communication. Users must not post or send:
- Abusive, hateful, threatening, or discriminatory content.
- Sexual content involving minors or any exploitative sexual content.
- Graphic violence, threats, or encouragement of self-harm or harm to others.
- False, manipulated, or misleading content likely to cause real-world harm.
- Spam, scams, fake giveaways, fake jobs, phishing links, or malware.
- Content that violates intellectual property rights.
- Private personal information such as identification documents, financial details, home addresses, or private phone numbers without consent.
8. Child Safety Standards and CSAE Policy
8.1 Prohibited Child Safety Violations
- Creating, uploading, storing, requesting, selling, sharing, or distributing CSAM.
- Sexualization of minors in text, images, audio, video, animation, AI-generated content, links, or messages.
- Grooming, coercion, blackmail, sextortion, sexual solicitation, or predatory contact with minors.
- Encouraging minors to share sexual, nude, intimate, or exploitative content.
- Content that facilitates child trafficking, abuse, exploitation, or real-world harm.
- Attempts to evade detection, moderation, reporting, or law enforcement action.
8.2 Reporting Child Safety Concerns
Any user can report suspected child exploitation or abuse through the app reporting tools or by emailing safety@ogoowapp.com. Reports involving immediate danger should also be reported to local law enforcement.
8.3 Our Response
- We prioritize review of child safety reports.
- We remove violating content and disable accounts involved in CSAE.
- We preserve relevant evidence where legally appropriate.
- We may report confirmed or suspected CSAE/CSAM to relevant authorities, hotlines, law enforcement, or child protection organizations.
- We cooperate with lawful investigations and emergency requests.
8.4 Prevention and Safety Controls
Ogoow may use moderation tools, account restrictions, content reporting, user blocking, keyword detection, media review, age controls, and safety education to reduce abuse risks.

9. Reporting, Blocking, Moderation, and Enforcement
9.1 How to Report
Users can report content, profiles, comments, posts, messages, or groups using in-app report tools where available, or by contacting support.
9.2 How to Block
Users should be able to block other users to prevent unwanted communication, comments, or interaction where the feature is applicable.
9.3 Enforcement Actions
- Content removal or visibility reduction.
- Warning or temporary feature restriction.
- Account suspension or permanent ban.
- Device, phone, email, or IP-based abuse prevention measures.
- Reporting to authorities where required or appropriate.
9.4 Appeals
Users may appeal moderation decisions by contacting support@ogoowapp.com with the account details, content reference, and reason for appeal.
10. Children and Age Restrictions
Ogoow is not intended for children under the minimum age required by applicable law in their country. If the app is available to minors, additional safety controls, moderation, and privacy protections may apply.
Parents or guardians who believe a child has provided personal data without appropriate consent may contact us at privacy@ogoowapp.com to request review or deletion.
11. Cookies, Analytics, Advertising, and Third-Party Services
Ogoow may use cookies, local storage, SDKs, analytics tools, crash reporting tools, push notification services, hosting providers, advertising networks, and security services.
These services may process device information, usage events, crash logs, advertising identifiers, IP address, and approximate location depending on app features and user consent. All third-party SDKs used in the app should be disclosed in the Google Play Data Safety form.
If advertising is used, users may be able to manage ad personalization through device settings or consent controls where required by law.
